"JESUS: Prince of Peace"

Today I met an elder sister in Christ at the Dollar Tree earlier this morning who stopped me and wanted to tell me something.

She asked, "You be in the service?" to which I replied after seeing the Name of JESUS on her baby blue (Christian) shirt "Oh no (as in "real military service") but I'm in His Service" and she spoke how good it is to see a young man of God following after Him to which I was humbled by her kind words of edification to KEEP BEING A DILIGENT FOLLOWER AND DISCIPLE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST...

Anyways, after that I saw her again in the store and was gonna try to say something but then she was on her way running her errands and I didn't want to bother her further as the Spirit led me and my family out in a timely manner...

This elder white sister in Christ had on a baby blue "Jesus: Prince of Peace" shirt that I really "dig" the more I reflect and think on it after seeing her wear it.

It's good to see other believers have that kind of PUBLIC faith and make a STATEMENT out in PUBLIC whenever they feel led to by the Lord of course.

May we do all things in GOD'S SPIRIT.

Also later on on the road saw a white wolfing down a jam-packed juicy burger kind of sandwich and I intently "gazed upon him" as we rode side-by-side and looked at him and he caught my "glazing" and undoubtedly saw my Christian black "God's Army" cap on that I'm sure got him all "riled up" and "uncomfortable" as God used me and the hat I wore to "reach out" and "remind" the man to TURN TO HIM.

After we road side-by-side for a while he got so sick of me seeing him and him seeing me with "that hat on" he sped off ahead to "lose me" from being a reminder of "God" in his life.

Yep. That's only a GLANCE into my daily life folks.

People have gotten to the point in this country of the United States they don't want ANY REMINDER of GOD in their psyche AT ALL: people want to be their own gods and live life their own ways.

Such is the sad state of the world today.

Even so as "darkness" rises the Light rises to dispel it: I look forward to the BLESSED HOPE in the end regardless of the personal situations I be going through.

God Wins in the end. Must always remember that. Amen.

Bro. Jed

"Cold Reception..."

So... here's the story for "yesterday"...

Sunday morning I was led of the Lord to start "witnessing the Word" to people traveling up and down Patti Road walking in my usual routine to church by around 9:20a.m.

It was a cold, chilly cool morning blue-gray sky kind of day.

Had to wear a good warm black jacket to help my body get quickly acclimated to the cold; which went by pretty quick surprisingly...

Anyways, I'm walking on down Patti Road and just "taking me time" in transition pointing the Bible I held with my hands to people who drove by in their cars and trucks.

As usual I get a lot of "thumbs up" or people "throwing up their hands" in frustration like "they're just tired of seeing me out here waving the Bible" lol.

Well I'm "tired" of y'all to. Y'all the reason a lot of things remain "messed up" as they: because NOBODY'S CHANGING!

Just "me" and few other believers out doing God's Work ain't gonna cut it for the "whole community" let alone the WHOLE STATE, WHOLE COUNTRY or WHOLE NATION for that matter: it takes a MAJORITY OF SPIRIT-FILLED BELIEVERS OF TRUE FAITH AND LIVING to turn a whole nation into REVIVAL!

Yeah, I "relate" to your same frustration because I actually have to try to "go out" and witness to your " sorry behinds" to say it "politely" cuz truth be told it's not always a "pleasant experience" having to deal with some of you people and I'd be lying if I say it was. I'm human too. I get fed up too... We ALL have "a point".

Many of you give "cold shoulders"... ICY! Just straight-up HATE God and by extension HATE ME because I'm reppin' HIS MESSAGE! You just can't STAND to have someone REMIND YOU in your life that their is an Almighty GOD of all Creation you must ultimately be accountable too.

I have to be accountable to God BOTH for my good and evil actions just like everyone else: NO ONE CAN ESCAPE GOD!

I'm tired of y'all just not REPENTING! Just GET RIGHT WITH GOD and you'll make ALL OUR LIVES BETTER just THAT QUICK! Like SERIOUSLY!

And you "wonder" what's wrong with America? It's YOU! YOU! YOU! YOU!

YOU the PROBLEM!

It's because of unsaved HEATHENS rampant sinning that's CONDEMNED AMERICA into the horrible shape it's in.

The American Church definitely takes a great deal of worthy blame but it's because of the OVERALLY ANTICHRIST AMERICAN SOCIETY that will bring GOD'S JUDGMENT UPON AMERICA SOONER OR LATER from here!

Just NO REVERENCE, FEAR or RESPECT FOR GOD in any nook or cranny in America!

The Church is even a DEN OF SECRET SIN!

And hey, it's not like I'm out here EVERY DAY doing this thing lol. I would get tired of this too at a point. I have a life. Got things to do just like you. Smh... These people are RIDICULOUS!

I have to "accept" your LAME "sinful ways", homosexuality, man-bashing and everything in society literally ANTI-CHRISTIAN and ANTICHRIST! but as a "Christian" they'd just expect me to "roll over" and just "be okay with it"?

Hmmm... Maybe some EFFEMINATE henpecked cucked man boy worldly churchian but NOT soulwinning, fiery *HOT!* street-preachin' JED MASK!

Smh with "society" these days! You can't even simply and kindly say "God bless you!" without people TAKING OFFENSE that you MENTIONED THAT NAME; but EVERYONE accepts when you just say "Bless you!" LEAVING OUT GOD'S NAME in the process!

I really HATE that!

Day-by-day I have to always listen to your "worldly chatter" and pretend to be "okay with it" when I'm really not, but time I say something about GOD or JESUS everybody FREAKS OUT and gets all cold, mean and angry... Smh...

The pure HYPOCRISY just really gets to me sometimes...

Please don't get me wrong: I'm not "hating" on anyone. Not "homosexuals" or any "group of sinners" as I'm a "sinner" myself.

I'm just saying we need to TURN TO GOD and ACKNOWLEDGE OUR SIN TO HIM before He will actually HELP US.

That's not the answer people... We know it... We must DO IT and NOT keep "putting it off"!

Many people just want to "use me" in my life for their own personal gains and I always "play it cool" but they want to "mold and shape" me into a "worldly persona" for their own ends without taking heed to Who I stand for: it's GOD they really need. Not "me".

Go find some other "loser" for your "easy targets": it's clear you can't handle the BIG BOYS fools! lol Get real!

Heck NAH! I REBUKE IT! FREEDOM of SPEECH baby!

I respect yours YOU RESPECT MINE! Amen!

And yes, even though I don't "communicate" my every thought and intention on here or in person let's just say I've been "doing this enough" and had enough experience with people to know when it's "too much" and will "drive away people" from the Message: I see it from their perspective as unbelievers that they'd get tired and angry at seeing some "crazy religious black dude" out on the streets holding a Bible up. I'd get tired and annoyed of that too if I was an unbeliever like them.

They'd probably be thinking I'm "high on some stuff" or that something's "not right in the head" like I'm "mental" or something lol when in REALITY I have more sanity and competency that most my so-called "judgmental unbelieving critics" out there... Oh yeah... Y'all the REAL NUTS! Tch... Truth be told.

It's like just on Sunday when I'm going to or leaving church when I feel that "urgency" and "prompting" from the Holy Spirit to "engage" and "go street-preaching".

Believe me; I don't really even want to be "bothered" with these people on some days and just want to "walk like I'm anonymous 'round town" but now it's like I got some kind of "infamous identity" 'round time where everybody "notices" it's me when I'm walking on the streets.

Sometimes they truly PISS ME OFF! lol They can really be AGGRAVATING and ANNOYING. Especially my "taunters" who either try to "flip me off" or do something other rude 'n crude gestures (many of which I'm sure they do behind my back like the real life COWARDS they really are! lol).

But I'm at that point where I "expect it" as part of the "persecution factor" for "putting myself out their in the public" for positive and negative reactions to occur it's what happens.

Can't say I don't not "like the attention" at times; but in the back of my mind and I'm sure in "theirs" as well at times we both know it's really not "about me": it's about JESUS!

I'm really not "all that". I don't got nothing so "special" going on right now: everything is about JESUS! JESUS CHRIST!

They know they need to REPENT and turn from their sorry WICKED WAYS but they just LOVE THE WORLD SO MUCH they can't stand the thought of having to "leave it all behind" and live a "truly committed life to Christ" once they get saved that is lol. Too "restricting" for their tastes.

They want the "best of both worlds": to be "blessed by God" but then feel FREE to fornicate and "live in the world" doing all their precious favorite sins... We all do.

I say that not to sound "self-righteous" but because I've been there... Not the "fornication part" that the Lord saved me from plus real life experience "precautions"; but I've entertained thoughts of wanting to "go back to the world" but look now fast-forward to year 2018 and since late 2012 I've been a "committed Christian" actually "following after God's Will in my life" and gotten such a "reputation" and "unofficial fame" from my street-preaching antics it'd be like "pissing down the drain" for me to "go back to the world" and live out my "worldly image" now...

Just wouldn't be "legit" as a "committed Christian" to "go back" now...

I've "crossed that line" and now am so "invested" in my "Christian walk" that I don't want to "tarnish" that good, wholesome image and reputation going on and doing "sinful stuff" my flesh would love to do...

I got an "investment" in my walk with Christ now. Makes NO SENSE to "go back to the empty world" I came from.

I got JESUS!

He's MORE THAN ENOUGH too!

SCARES these poor people to DEATH!

But the thing is as I type out all this "sarcastically" in a "jokingly manner" the real truth behind "my words" is it's coming from a concerned, SERIOUS demeanor. I'm not really "being funny" typing lol it's more like "just wished these people had sense to quit playing around and GET SERIOUS about the AFTERLIFE!".

If anyone really knows me in this world they'd know I'm one of the MOST SERIOUS PEOPLE ALIVE!

I don't just "joke" and "kid around" lol. I'm not like that... Never really was.

If I didn't have this CALLING on my life to do what I've been doing soulwinning and street-preaching in various communities and locations in U.S.A. I'd be "doing my own thing" just as they are.

Among the "Christian Church" as it is, "street-preaching" I think seen from the "mainstream perspective" is a hidden little "dirty job secret" nobody in the Church House likes to talk about openly.

Basically "street-preaching" is among the "Christian World" is a "dirty job" (like on Mike Rowe's hit show "Dirty Jobs" which I used to love watching back in the day on Discovery Channel when I was still in grade school growing up) that like any "dirty job" NOBODY wants to do but know it HAS TO BE DONE.

Difference is from me to them is I've come to "acceptance" with God's Will in my life and while I don't always really "like it" or "want it" at some personally "inconveniencing times" in my real personal life I know I'll REGRET NOT DOING WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO DO AT THE END!

That's by far my biggest "motivation" besides getting people saved: the FEAR OF REGRET is my biggest motivator.

I don't want to think and "look back" on "what I should have done" when I SHOULD BE DOING IT RIGHT NOW.

Maybe y'all agree, disagree, relate or not; I'm just speaking of WHERE I'M AT IN MY JOURNEY.

If you a follower of Christ being honest I'm sure you have your own testimonies and "tugging" of God's Will upon your life.

I'm just "one story" of literally MILLIONS out there.

This "lil'" blog is like a "lil'" glimpse into the mind of "Jed Mask", the good, bad and ugly combined.

... Stopped by 9:55a.m. when I made it completely over to church for fellowship just before service to start officially at "10:30a.m." at SEEKERS POINT.

Just before making to church I encountered elder brother S. and his wife sister P. driving by in the white truck on the way to church.

Just noticed them when they "hand-waved" at me in surprise but I caught on just after and "waved back at them" to say I "noticed them back" and I later met them in the parking lot by the church concrete patio entrance.

Don't know what they "really think" of my "street-preaching antics" as they've now seen it for the "second" or "third" time now but I hope to think it's a "positive reaction" but if not I understand if not.

For the record if anyone out there who's been "reading" my blog and actually "meets me" somewhere sometime in real life you're welcome to "ask my questions". I have nothing to hide. There's nothing "devious" or "sinister" going on "behind-the-scenes" if you really have questions you want to ask me.

I won't "bite" lol; least not THAT HARD lol. Just joking (but I don't really "joke" lol :P)

Yeah, I'm very approachable if you can't me in the "good mood" and I'm not "angry", mad or "upset" about something personally. Yep... That's it.

Anyways, for the CHRISTIANS out there... We have to DO BETTER than what we're doing.

You can't "lie" to me: I know TOO MANY LAZY, INDIFFERENT, SORRY BELIEVERS out there from family, friends and people I just "meet" in everyday life who "tell me they're Christians" but by the way I see them live and act... I really couldn't tell the difference if they were believers or heathens. I just don't see... They only have the "name" but not the "life" of the "title".

It's HARD being a CHRISTIAN at times... I FAIL every day in multiple ways but by God's Grace I just KEEP TRYING! I'm not "all that" nor do I ever mean to give that "impression" but the *impression* I want to give readers who've actually followed and read my blog over time is that I STAY DEDICATED AND KEEP STRIVING IN THE FAITH. That's the ULTIMATE TEST in this life: to STAND IN FAITH!

That's what we do: KEEP TRYING!

Don't just "do nothing": DO SOMETHING!

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!

(P.S. After church Pastor M. and the many brethren of the congregation stayed after so we could see some young babes in Christ get water baptized. It was an excellent experience for their real young start of their walk with the Lord. As I get "older" I have even more "responsibility" for those younger than me. To watch after them and guide them in the true ways of the Lord... It won't be easy, but nothing "worthwhile" ever really is... Amen.)

A Sunday Street-Preaching SUPRISE!

Yesterday morning, January 21, 2018 I was led of the Lord to street-preach His Word walking on up Kohnke Hill Road on the way to church by after 9:30a.m.

As I was walking on up the road I met an older brother in Christ who turns out to be a minister or pastor in his dark red truck and at first he drove ahead of me passing me on the road but then "slowly stopped" and reversed to back up and as I sensed backed up to "talk to me".

He asked if I needed a ride to church to which I responded "No, not this time. I'm gonna walk this one. Thanks for offering, though." and after a brief chat we went our ways.

... Fast-forward a few minutes later as I'm holding up His Word to approaching cars on both sides of the road as I walk across the road in long "spaces" between cars driving a young black man around my peer age group stopped in his truck right quick to ask me if I needed a ride to church or something as I walked down Patti Road heading towards University Avenue here in Hammond, LA. Said "No, I'm good. I'm walking my way over" and before I could he or I could go further since he stopped shortly in the middle of the road; he picked up speed and drove on since like if he's a fellow brother in Christ, a "Christian" and has no other important matters to attend to; we should all be going to church somewhere on a Sunday.

Also, another black guy drove by me in his silver car and asked if I needed a ride and told him "Nah, I'm good. I'm walking it." to which he realized and if he was a believer I wondered if he wondered if I wondered whether he was going to church or not himself lol.

Either way, I understand: I've just now been getting back into the "routine" of going back to church after a long "period" away. The Lord's been growing and maturing me in His Will.

So, continuing on down I meet a young black lady with her daughter in a silver car as she stops to aske me if I need a ride to church.

"Judging" by her attire she looked "dressed up" like she was going to church herself; her daughter did too. I said, "No, thanks. I'm walking on down to church on University Avenue. It's not too far for me walking I've done it before. Not this time. Thanks for the offer though." to which she readily nodded "okay" and drove on her way. She was friendly and smiling ever since she saw me "street-preaching" holding a Bible up in the air.

The more I "thought about it" when I was doing it, a lot of people must have thought I was "flagging them over" to "hitchhike" to ask them for a ride or something since a few people were thoughtful and considerate enough to "slow down" and ask me what my "deal was".

I'm glad some people were this thoughtful and considerate as human-beings; and eventually a lot of people caught on with my "holding a Bible" meant more a *MESSAGE* for the viewers than me just out "hitchhiking" a ride.

So I made it on down Patti and at the end of Patti Road crossing into University Avenue met elder brother "K" from church and his wife driving on by in their red truck.

Must have "caught them by surprised" with them seeing me out "holding up a Bible" to people driving by in their vehicles.

Anyways, elder brother "K" along with his wife asked me if I "needed a ride" the rest of the way over to church to which I replied "No, not this time. Maybe for another."

It's not like I refused just to "refuse" but *BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING THE LORD'S WILL TO WITNESS HIS WORD AT THE MOMENT*.

Any other times I wasn't"busy with the Lord's Business" and it was favorable for me to do so, yeah I would have taken elder brother K's offer. It's never no "personal thing" when people actually offer to HELP ME. I appreciate and take those offers; I just can't stop doing something God wants me to do and "throw off" something God's Doing that I'll regret later.

It's been a long while since I've been preaching or "witnessing" in public with the Word or any other Christian signs, posters etc. but I've never "stopped soulwinning or evangelizing" just because I'm not "out there in the open with a Bible" in my hand.

True soulwinners of the brethren know that soulwinning and evangelizing for the Saviour is a 24/7 experience. It never ends until we die and even then it never ends just because "we leave" our works to reach people for Christ continues in the resources and projects and "legacies" we leave behind in our life testimonies and our brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to "carry the torch" and pass on the evangelizing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (KJV 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) to *ALL* people be aware of and know.

The Lord Jesus Christ gives the increase of the "Harvest of Souls" but we Christians are His "husbandmen" out in the field supposed to be doing the work of "planting seeds" of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (KJV 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) of the unsaved unbelievers.

Nonetheless, yesterday I made it to church (and on time). Definitely making it a POINT to get to any place (especially GOD'S HOUSE) on time and time to spare! Amen!

... Going forward with the Holy Spirit working in us the local "church body" we grow by FAITH and not be sight.

Everybody knows the Modern Christian church has "problems"; but that's not what matters.

I sense a CHANGE or rather *SHIFT* happening in the Body of Christ.

"Stagnation" can't carry on forever in the Church Body; nor will it: it just takes a little time for BIG CHANGE to occur.

That's what's happening.

So anytime I hear people taking "bad" and "negative" about the "apostasy" in the church, I know the deal: the Church is CHANGING though.

Lord Knows it's on many hearts for there to be at least ONE BIG REVIVAL before He calls the Church back Home in the Rapture.

I'm personally in "no rush" for the Rapture to occur: my approach to these Last Days is two-fold:

1. Preparation towards to Rapture.

And

2. Preparation for the Lord tarrying a great many years before the Rapture.

By His Grace, either way I'm gonna do my best to CONTEND FOR THE FAITH!

It's not called "spiritual warfare" for nothing y'all.

We can do *ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS WHO STRENGTHENS US*. Amen.

"Change"...

Yesterday morning I was "on and about" with my family to do a little grocery-shopping at Walmart.

I walked ahead and saw a black woman working for The Salvation Army ringing her bell and hoping to get money donations from all the people walking around. (I previously used to shortly work for The Salvation Army during the time I spent living up in Anacortes, Washington with my family; but that's a whole 'nother story. It's in my employment history, though.)

Needless to say, as a "gesture of thought" I felt led to give a small monetary donation into the red kettle that was up front by the doors of the main Walmart entrance and then I looked back from the left side of my head to "acknowledge her" and for her to see I gave a donation and she said something in agreement like "Thanks" and then I met my family inside Walmart after a time and we spent almost an hour inside doing shopping.

...Fast-forward, turns out before I had even walked up to Walmart I have the instinctive Spirit-led mindset of having a "Jesus Christ LOVES You!" gospel tract directly at my disposal in the left-side pocket of my blue jacket to "whip out" and give to someone I felt led to give to as the opportunity presented itself in public.

So, here's the moment: I'm walking out the Walmart with my family going out ahead of me back to the car with the groceries and I see this young black man (he's not that much older than me I believe; either late twenties or early thirties or something...) out sitting by the side of the Walmart exit door I'm coming out of.

You know those kind of people you see hanging around at stores, right? People we might perceive to be homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics, lowlife, etc...

I could say this guy was one of 'em, but can't really be sure. Nor does it matter.

I could say this guy was a "crackhead" and even so, it doesn't matter.

Truth is... WE ALL JUDGE PEOPLE IN SOCIETY! We just do. It's just "human nature" lol. But it's how we respond with the judgment that counts.

Whether we judge people wrongfully or rightfully, we should at least treat everyone with dignity and respect and treat them like they exist in the world as human-beings. That is what I did in this moment: acknowledged and treated this young black man's existence as a fellow human-being.

Here goes; this same young black man I just saw; I'm thinking he's someone I've seen around town for quite a while sometime either hanging out at this Walmart or the local Dollar Tree across N. Thomas Street. I'm seen someone like him before if he's not the guy I have in memory otherwise.

Either way, it doesn't matter to me; for my main objective was to try to get this man to know CHRIST before anything else. His spiritual SALVATION is all that mattered to me.

I handed this young brothah the "Jesus Christ LOVES You" gospel tract I had in my jacket's pocket by INSTINCTIVE REFLEX. Didn't have time to "double guess" or "double think" I just ACTED and whether he would take the tract or not wasn't on me to worry about, but him.

Surprisingly he accepted the folded-up gospel tract I handed him and then looked at it as though maybe hoping it came with some "money" attached lol.

I ain't gonna lie, this guy looked like he was a crackhead or "on some stuff" whatever it might be but he didn't seem like he was wanting to "stop being a crackhead" but sitting by the corner of the Walmart store door panhandling, begging people to give him money to feed his wicked, unhealthy lifestyle habits anytime someone gave him eye contact.

After he received the gospel tract from my hand he started to say quickly, "Change... I need some change" trying to "beg me down" in pity to get me to give him some knowing full-well he's physically healthy looking and seems alright even mentally; he's just wanting me to give him some money to buy drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, etc.

And I was NOT ever about to "enable" a physically-able, mentally-able, healthy-looking young adult to live his sedentary lifestyle.

The black lady workin' for The Salvation Army and an older Hispanic man turned aside to look behind themselves in "surprise" (looked like that to me at least) as I had gave the young brothah a folded-up gospel tract then walked on about my business; but they could have mistaken it for rolled up "money" dollar bills; which is something I sho' wouldn't give this young brothah out here hustling people for his "drug money". Oh no, no, no my friend... I don't roll like that.

You don't need "change" my brothah; you need to go do like every other responsible, respectable adult in society and go WORK FOR YO' MONEY, man!

Quit leechin' off of people to feed your unhealthy habits! Get real! Smh...

I'd be more guilty than the crackhead by giving him money to get dope than he would when there's true homeless or poor people around in need really needing the help; not him... He's just taking advantage of people. Not "financial help"; that's not what he needed.

As I type that, what comes to mind is the story of when Peter and John in the Bible when throughout Jerusalem preaching that Jesus was Christ and about the man who was lame from birth above forty years old sitting at the gate of Jerusalem begging for "change"...
_____________________________________

KJV Acts 3:1-11,

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
_______________________________________

When that young black man uttered "Change... I need change..." he spoke the truth: just not the kind of "change" he meant.

He needed "Real Change" and that "Change" is *JESUS* whether he would accept Him or not. That's what I gave him.

We ALL need "REAL CHANGE" in our lives.

We ALL need *JESUS CHRIST*!

Lord Knows, I know so many people throughout my life like this guy that panhandle, live on the streets or live the "lowlife lifestyle" as a way of life to manipulate people into giving them money to fund their drug and various chemical addictions.

I've had even family members and friends say things like "Hey Jed, would you go to the store to buy me a pack of cigarettes?" while me as a Christian knowing cigarettes are not only "unhealthy to the body" but also the spiritual connotation as SINFUL to GOD makes me accountable to NOT "give in" to fulfilling that request because it's WRONG and I'd be a "guilty accomplice" in making someone worse off health-wise, but most importantly worse off spiritually in contributing to THEIR SINFUL HABITS...

That's why when people tell me do "help them do a kind of sin with or for them" I've been training myself in these real life situations with people to correctly always say... *NO*!

Don't ever "help people in their sin". If they do it; it's on them; just don't be an accomplice or you're just as guilty as them IF NOT MORE.

Yeah, I only hope and pray that young brothah really took the Message of that Christian gospel tract to heart and REPENTED if he was already unsaved.

Hopefully if he was a believer the gospel tract "reminded him" of God's Presence in his life to turn back to Him.

Either way, I'm still hoping and praying the best for the young man in life whether I see him again in town or not.

May we all keep him and the many people in the world like him in OUR PRAYERS TO GOD because GOD LOVES THEM and THEY ARE OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OUT THERE TOO.

Even OUR ENEMIES as Christians we LOVE. Amen...

Bro. Jed

A "Faithful Walk" Home From Church...

On Sunday, March 19, 2017 I was led of the Lord by His Spirit and street-preached His Word (King James Version Holy Bible [KJV]) walking down Kress Street and then on Hillsboro Street around 12:30p.m. in the afternoon after attending Faith Memorial Baptist Church.

It was a "brief moment" in time as I interacted with folks driving by in their vehicles, cars and trucks...

At some points I stood still and "held up my arms with the bible" held in my right hand in a "Christ-like" manner as a way of symbolic body language communication saying "It's okay... Come to Me all ye who are weary and heavy-laden..." as the Scripture saith.

A lot of people it seemed did NOT want to be reminded about Jesus Christ, God and the Bible *OR* the simple fact that a lot of people "guilty" and willingly decided not to go to church or care to think of "God" if some of the people driving by were in fact Christians; but I digress it was a pleasant, lovely sunny afternoon that Sunday...

I stopped street-preaching on Hoffman Street when I made it in for the remainder of the day at 12:43p.m. Amen.

Sunny Day: The Elder Black Man With The Shades At Cliff Tuttle Park

Today at around 3:10p.m. I met or an elder black man at Cliff Tuttle Park outside the library as I went by the street light cement base pole and ate my lunch.

I didn't want to stay out and be exposed in the hot Houston sun as it is still a sunny day out.

It was hot and dry-like but not that kind of sweltering hot, humid "sweaty" Houston summer hot sun - thank God! lol (Those days can be draining...)

I ate the four remaining oatmeal raisin cookies from the plastic packaging and had a pick aluminum square pack of salmon meat to eat with three slices of whole wheat bread to "sandwich" it with to chow down.

It was a good pleasant lil' snack I had as I stood around "grazing" (i.e. "eating" :P) and taking it easy outside.

Taking in the scenery of my surroundings and also making brief and subtle eye contact movements and glances to the elder black man off to my far right reclined at a light tan bench on his back with his bike leaning behind the wooden bench.

He had his black sunglasses on and seem to be "observing" the scene as I was and saw the young Hispanic kids in the background (a group of boys) playing basketball at the court in the center of the park here.

I saw him and I think he really saw me back too. Tried not to make too much direct eye contact with him that could have "annoyed" or "bothered" him.

So, I just took it easy out there for a while and wondered casually what he could be "thinking".

He had his cap on. A grayish black full moustache. Had a backpack I think...

I didn't overthink who and what he was doing as though he was probably homeless or just an elder "local" 'round these parts.

After I finished up eating my quick lunch I motioned away from his space and walked on the gray cement sidewalk pavement and walked on over to the nearby water fountain to refill my plastic water bottle and to drink from the fountain.

I saw a group of young Hispanic teens hanging out and eating Little Caesars pizza under the green gazebo and just being cool and casual as I took my time by the "watering hole" lol.

So after this I went to get my backpack and laptop to do my business and just had the thought in my mind which I believe was the Spirit telling me to simply give the elder black man the "Jesus Christ LOVES You!" Gospel of Jesus Christ (KJV 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) gospel tract brown cardboard card I had neatly written and illustrated.

I didn't waver in thought and feeling but just got the card out after fumbling through my black JanSport backpack and when I had my belongings and self together in good timing I walked on over casually and smoothly to the elder man so as not to "disrupt" him from his relaxing as I only wanted to "hand over" the gospel tract card and be on my way.

To my brief and sudden amazement he accepted the card and we didn't even have to "exchange words" but just a quiet "yes nod" of heads and a quiet "hello..." as I slowly turned back and walked away from him as on my way again and I saw him start to read and look at the Gospel tract card I gave him and hopefully the Spirit works in the elder black man's heart to fulfill His Will.

I sincerely hope the elder black man (old enough to be my grandfather I believe) believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God if he already wasn't a believer; an elder brother in Christ.

Nonetheless, may that Gospel tract card by a sign of "edification" for his faith if he is unbelieving.

Putting it in prayer right now and to the end of the day, may God Almighty, Lord Jesus Christ BLESS the life of this elder black man whose life I have no idea is his story. Amen.

Downtown Houston: A Monday Walk In The City...

On Monday, October 17, 2016 was a VERY GOOD day I have to say in the Lord... Amen!

It was an early morning out and I was led of the Lord to walk on Hoffman Street and make a quick right turn onto the sidewalk of Hillsboro Street before making a right and walking on up Shotwell Street...

I met elder brother "J" on the way. An elder black homeless man I had met elsewhere in town and then met again in church at "Calvary Christian Center" Church on street address 544 Henke Street, Houston, Texas 77020.

Anywho, we both talked about "life situations" and parted ways... It was a good, needful talk in the Lord since I don't normally walk down Shotwell Street but I ran into elder brother "J" so that just confirmed the Word of the Lord I heard in my spirit concerning whether I should walk up Shotwell Street.

On my way to Downtown of Houston, I was walking on Lyons Avenue all the way down and it was a great journey...

Saw a black man relaxed sitting on a black iron bench, a young Asian woman looking in "sorrow"... A lot of people need JESUS... A spiritual "depression" in the air....

I smiled and met many different people along the way... I've walked under the huge, spread-out, sprawling tunnels and saw where the homeless people dwelled that were "cast out", "forgotten" and "denied" and "ignored" by society at large.

I've come to realize seeing both the poor and rich in the city... GOD is the MAKER of us all.

It was a profound surreal experience that doesn't do justice to "type up" in this mere post, but a faithful reminded...

Took a lot of good, interesting pictures along the way...

This was my first time to really get around to "exploring" the whole city downtown but I haven't even really "scratched the surface" of what all goes on in Downtown Houston.

So, on my way back home I met an elder black woman (who was homeless I think) sitting under an overpass seeing me in "good spirits" "smiling" she's like "You look happy, smiling" she smiling at me, I said, "Yep", smiling back and waved off as I made a good trip on foot back home...

A good inspiring and HUMBLING TIME in the Lord for what's to come... Amen!

Early Evening Street Preaching In Denver Harbor, Houston, Texas

Earlier this evening around 4:10p.m I would say, but perhaps a little earlier, I started street-preaching His Word (King James Version Holy Bible [KJV]) led of the Lord walking up Hoffman Street and taking my time going slowly and "methodically" concerning who I "targeted" to "hold up the Bible to".

I approached people driving by timely in their vehicles off in the grassy curbsides of the road and people I saw who were neighbours I did not "approach" and "hold up the Bible" to them from a distance as to "keep their sense of privacy" if they did not want to be directly bothered or approached.

Now up to Lyons Avenue... I made a brief stop by the Lyons Washateria telephone booth for a "breather" then make my way going right up Lyons Avenue towards the local library I frequent.

It's a "slowing down" early evening of the day and it's not all "high-energy mad rush to work morning time but a "slowing day of the evening time..."

An elder black man on the opposite side of the road from me is out selling stuff from his truck by a Hispanic-ran mini Washateria...

I've met him and say "Hello" for quite a few times on my walks back home... This time in passing, didn't make direct eye contact with him as he's wearing his black sunshades on and retiring to the front of the mini Washateria.

I'm on my way, walking, and holding up the Bible in methodical but adaptable real-time timing reflexes to every vehicle that crosses my path going in my direction and the opposite direction across from where I'm walking on the edge of the sidewalk of the curb of the street and then stepping back on the sidewalk when too close to the roadway.

As I'm holding up His Word and preaching to the people by His Spirit a Hispanic man with sunshades on driving a yellow school bus throws his hands up in frustration; perhaps not wanting to "have anything to do with God".

I keep him in mind for PRAYER later.

Also, I'm being very diligent in the Lord to be attentive to people I should approach with His Word and those I should "leave alone" and not "approach directly".

It's been a good and QUICK DAY! Oh man, didn't get as much as I "ideally wanted to today" but a good bit's been accomplished.

Signing off... Amen!

A Good Sunday Church Day Coming Home...

On Sunday, September 18, 2016, just before 12:15p.m. walking on home from church on Kress Street, it was a great day today!

I not only made it to church ON TIME but I attended the early church meeting with our pastor, his wife and the brethren in the choir and various church ministries before the actual church service started. It was a good swell day indeed... Led of by the SPIRIT OF THE LORD! Amen!

So, to the main point: the Lord spoke to me in the Spirit telling me to give this elder Hispanic man  who just got out of his truck walking to his house a "Jesus Christ LOVES You!" Gospel of Jesus Christ gospel tract for him to receive as he said "thanks" and I nodded "yes" and was led of the Lord by the Spirit to walk the rest of the way home... A good "uneventful day indeed"...

Thought I was gonna "street preach" today but the Lord's Voice in the Spirit told me "No...", so no street-preaching this day... Yep, this was a GOOD SUNDAY. Amen.

Homelessness Shopping Cart Travel

So today, Thursday, August 18, 2016, anticipating my coming "homelessness" once again I packed up some of my bags and walked down Hoffman Street and stopped at the Lyons Washateria for a quick break before walking down Lyons Avenue.

On the sidewalk by the Cash America Pawn saw a Fiesta shopping cart and decided to put my bags and belongings in it.

So I pushed this red and gray Fiesta shopping cart on my way down Lyons Avenue to the local library I routinely visit.

I had to "get accustomed" to people in public looking at me in "sneers" or "overlooking my existence" as a homeless person so they can "bypass the reality" of how hard life can be to make it out here.

I don't respect people who look down on the homeless, poor and unfortunate people, but I do care and "watch out" for their own good when they least expect or if they're even thinking of it.

Notwithstanding, I didn't even have to be necessarily homeless to be "looked down upon" by people ignoring my existence passing by in their cars indifferent towards my plight.

I don't want "pity" here and that's not what I'm talking about here.

I'm talking about the coldness of heart and INDIFFERENCE of heart displayed by the people who only talk down about homeless people and never actually try to help them. Like they get some kind of "high superiority feeling" or "kick" when they see someone down in life so they can feel better about themselves like they are "better" than other people.

At this point in life, when I was first homeless I was frightened and ashamed not knowing what to do and where to go to get back on with my life. That feeling is there in the natural at times even now for me, but I've gotten better at learning how to survive and God-willing will become even better.

As I'm even typing this, I don't know and can't guarantee when I'll be posting on this website, Google+, Twitter and Facebook and other online social media account projects I hope to develop upon throughout time in the Ministry.

Lord knows I'm also hoping to put together a Christian Homelessness Survivalist Guide Book to share my own advice, tips and counsel to people of what I've learned from real world life experience of surviving on the streets as a homeless person. I think it'll be made into an pdf. eBook file before I ever think of doing hard cover real book formats somewhere down the line if it's worth the investment... I make good stuff though. I like doing a QUALITY JOB in everything I do. Amen.

I personally don't really "believe" in buying "electronic books" online on the internet. I would rather download a free pdf. eBook release of some work but I wouldn't purchase an eBook with money.

I'd rather buy a hard cover book of print in person that some "electronic file".

In fact, I don't even really buy any books anymore except King James Version Holy Bibles (KJV) the ONLY Book in my opinion worth spending any money on to buy. I'd buy a Bible before any other worldly secular book or even Christian book by a Christian author. That's just my opinion.

If there's a good deal around on anything, I'm willing to consider changing my mind for purchasing but in general I only buy King James Bibles FIRST then anything else from there. Amen.

Okay, okay, back to the story....

So I met this short young black women around 1:20p.m.-something sitting on top of one of the green iron benches underneath the concrete patio of the green gazebo as I pushed on by in my shopping cart.

At first I thought she hollered to me "I'll take your bags!" but now I'm thinking she may have said "I'll take you basket!" meaning "shopping cart".

I didn't understand what she was saying at first and said "Can't understand you. Whazzup?" as I approached near her to understand what she was saying.

lol From a distance she looked like a short young black boy or man since she had a shaved head and wearing a cap. Couldn't quite tell she was a woman until closer visual examination of her chest as I saw her person.

Don't get me wrong at all lol. I wasn't "starring at her breasts". I wasn't lusting. I was and still am in "no mood" for nonsense... as usual.

So yeah, I could tell she was a woman by her "voice" as I heard it clearer getting closer to her. It was wet, rainy and loud outside of the passing noises of numerous vehicles, trucks and cars so it dispersed out a lot of noise. Amen.

So, she asks "Can I have you basket?". I said "Yeah, I don't need it anymore." She said "You staying around here?" I'm like "No, I'm 'bout to go into the library to handle so business. You can keep the cart. I don't need it no more. I can get another one." and we she smiled in a good spirit saying "Thanks" and we briefly parted ways...

After that quick 'n timely exchange, the short, young, shaved-head black woman was waving with her hands for me to come back to her. I don't follow after women "waving me" to come to them; THEY COME TO ME. A man LEADS, the woman FOLLLOWS. Amen.

So I just stood there and watched until she actually CAME TO ME so I can see where she was going with this. Remember, I don't know her. She's a stranger to me as I am to her.

This is just some random woman I met at the park. She looks like she's been on the streets for quite some time and knows the "ins-and-outs" so I kept to myself. I didn't know if she had some kind of weapon like a gun or knife she could have "pulled off" on me to mess me up and jack my stuff if she had those intentions. I didn't think she did, but one can never be for absolute certain what someone intends to do. You don't know what's on people's minds; only GOD knows. Amen.

That aside, I wasn't at all "fearful"or "worried" about my personal safety but "cautious" as one has to be trying to survive while passing through the streets. You'll know it when you EXPERIENCE IT. Amen.

So, long story short she said, "Can you go with me by the "mobile" at the Fiesta so I can go get me a cigarette?" I'm like thinking to myself "WOW! Why would I do that?!" lol so what I told her was a flat out "No, I'm not going with you over there for a cigarette. I got stuff to do. You don't need that stuff. You need to be trying to make it; not worrying about some cigarette." and she lightly laughed and "chuckled" at my statement as I spoke the truth to her in LOVE cuz she knows buying cigarettes would just be a waste of money. Need that money for FOOD not "getting high" lol. Smh...

Also, we parted paths again and in my spirit I was stirred up: You know, I'm just going to tell this woman about the Lord Jesus Christ because there's no guarantee I might see her again out here ever again. So I followed instinct and got out the "Jesus Christ LOVES You!" Gospel of Jesus Christ white cardboard card I had written and illustrated weeks prior to finally hand over to someone.

I didn't even pray or need to at this point to consult the Spirit of Christ; this just happened so natural, instinctively and URGENTLY. I went and gave her the "Jesus Christ LOVES You!" Gospel of Jesus Christ white cardboard card that she took and said "Thanks". I said, "Here's something I feel led to give you since it's no guarantee I might see you out here again".

She understood; probably wasn't ever expecting anything like that, but it happened.

Thing is, I just GO FOR IT. Worst case scenario she says "No" and I just have the Gospel tract card to give to someone else later. I just pray for her that the Lord works in her heart that she may live in the flesh to repent at a later appointed time by God. Only GOD knows.

But I thank GOD the gifting was successful and she received the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hopefully she believes and is SAVED. GLORY be to GOD! Amen!

Bro. Jed

Street Preachin' On A Hot, Humid, Houston, Texas Sunny Day!

Hello all, today, Thursday, June 30, 2016, I was led of the Lord by the Spirit to head out street preaching the Word of God (King James Version Holy Bible).

I had on my big black backpack, was carrying my green laptop bag case and was alternating between carrying my big, large-sized burgundy brown bible as I walked up Hoffman Street raising up the Word to be seen by people passing by in their vehicles.

When I got to the end of Hoffman Street at the Lyons Avenue cross street, I made a right turn walking and witnessing the Word on the edges of the sidewalk as people drove by in their vehicles.

I said to some people, "God LOVES you!" Repent, Lord Jesus Christ LOVES You!" or "God's calling you to Him; Trust on JESUS!" and so forth...

As has been usual reaction some people throw their hands up like "Hey, I know I get in, moving on..." as though they "get the message".

However, some people may be indeed sincere fellow believers who have waved their hands up as a salute or some such... Either way, I often ponder "who's real" and "who's just trying to pass me away" so they can get God out of their consciences?

Well, it has hot, smothering out, with the hot, warm gust of air hitting me in the face and in the body as though making me sweat a lot so I had to carry my blue face towel with me to wash my face and after I got to the library I put some soap on my blue face towel before washing my face towel with water and washing off my sweaty face and neck area.

Hmmm... yeah, it's truly all in the LORD'S HANDS. All I can do is witness His Word to the people and talk to people and so forth but I can't "force people" to accept Jesus and I will never "force myself" on people to turn to Jesus Christ for Salvation.

God wants people to COME TO HIM out of their own FREE WILL without being forced to believe on Him and love, serve, worship and OBEY Him. That's not "real love"; that's not "real respect". It's just people doing what they have to do so they don't get harmed but forcing people to do anything they don't' want to really do, is NEVER genuine.

If there's anything I REALLY HATE it's not genuine behaviour of love or respect.

I'd rather be HATED than falsely "loved" by a bunch of people "playing me" pretending to be (my) "friends".

Screw that. I'd rather have ENEMIES, LOTS OF ENEMIES who HATE ME with a SINCERE HATRED than anyone trying to "pretend" they like/love me when they really don't. I truly have more respect for my "enemies" (self-professed or "secret") than any "so-called" people who call themselves "my friend". Really? God-willing, we'll see about that...

All I want is REAL people. If you HATE ME: great! If you LOVE ME: great! Either way, I'm cool with it; just don't you dare try to misrepresent yourself thinking you can fool me; I know this. lol You can fool everyone else like you're "cool with me" but I know differently. Amen...

If I don't call you out for who you really are it's really just because I'm being MERCIFUL as HE IS MERCIFUL; not because you deserve to be spared your "outing". It's only for YOUR OWN GOOD I don't "expose you" in public and/or for the whole world to see and hear; for I want the Lord to work in your heart, okay. Amen.

To get mercy you GIVE MERCY; if you are merciless you are expected NO MERCY in return... It works that simple.

Not even family or friends can hide their true intentions concerning me. I can tell the good and the bad. Who's for me AND who's against me. Amen.

~ Sincerely,

Bro. Jed

A Brief Spontaneous "Piggly Wiggly" Surprise...

It's been a great while since I've had good opportunity to be able to give someone one of my handwritten " Jesus Christ LOVES ...
